What is Text to Speech?

Text to speech is software that converts text on the screen, into a computer generated voice, that reads the information to you.

Our own personal favourite is the free - 'Natural Voice Reader'. Although the free version doesn't give you the Natural Sounding voice, it's still the best free reader we've tried. http://www.naturalreaders.com/

This software is not only beneficial to those with poor eyesite, but also to students in general. Having the computer read the information to you as you read it, aids memory because you are seeing and hearing the information.

Research into dyslexia and Myers-Irlen syndrome suggests that changing the background colour upon which words are written can often benefit the reader. If you feel this applies to you please select your preferred colour from the DMI EasiReader © below.
